Susy Oesterreicher

Susy Oesterreicher has spent many years bringing together dance, Capoeira, bodywork and cultural education. Her own movement journey is deeply connected to Capoeira Angola, which she has practiced since 1989 and helped develop in Europe together with Mestre Rosalvo. Alongside Capoeira, she has explored contemporary dance, breakdance, samba, frevo and African dance.

As co-founder and director of Academia Jangada, Susy combines her experience in movement and education with the development of a place where people, cultures and different forms of movement meet. Working with children and young people is especially important to her. Her classes create spaces filled with movement, music, imagination and shared discovery. With warmth and attentiveness, she encourages people to build trust in their bodies and experience the joy of moving together.
