Mestre Rosalvo

Mestre Rosalvo grew up in Salvador da Bahia and discovered Capoeira as a child in the streets and courtyards of his hometown. These early experiences, together with his long-term training with Mestre Cobra Mansa, continue to shape his work today. Since 1989, Rosalvo has lived and taught in Europe, helping to build and share Capoeira Angola across generations.

As co-founder of Academia Jangada and a board member of Capoeira Angola e.V., he combines his artistic practice with the development of a place dedicated to Capoeira, Brazilian culture and connection. In his classes, movement, music, rhythm and play come together. The Roda becomes a space for dialogue, community and shared learning. Rosalvo brings a deep connection to the roots of Capoeira and creates a space where tradition remains alive while continuing to grow.
